Jessica Chastain, an American actor and actress on television, is well-known for her portrayal of powerful female characters in feminist-themed films. The actress has been nominated to two Oscars and is the winner of one Golden Globe Award. Her birthplace was California which is in the US and developed an interest for acting while watching the show Joseph and the Amazing Tecnhicolor Dreamcoat. Her stage debut professional was in a production of "Romeo and Juliet" and she also made her film debut with the character of "Jolene". In films such as Take Shelter', "The Help", Mama', and "Interstellar," she became more popular. Her character of a woman in Zero Dark Thirty won her the Golden Globe Award under the category of Best Actress'. Her most well-known roles portray strong, flawed women. Some of them are considered feminist. She's an open-minded woman who is a staunch advocate for equal pay. TIME magazine listed her as one of the top powerful people in the World in 2012.
