Jill Hennessy
The resident from Edmonton, Alberta has a diverse ancestry spanning Irish, Italian, Swedish, French and Ukranian. The twin sister of her, Jacqueline is also an actor. As a child, Jill became fluent in different languages such as Italian, French and Spanish. Jill began to become interested in acting around the age of twelve. She started her career in acting in Toronto by appearing in David Cronenberg's Dead Ringers playing an escort alongside his twin sister. After that, she studied improv-comedy in Second City with Deb Kimmet. Then, two years later made the move in New York and signed a contract for the role of Assistant District Attorney Claire Kincaid on the long playing hit TV series Law & Order. In addition, she appeared in movies like RoboCop 3 (1998), Ron Howard's The Paper (2000) and I Shot Andy Warhol 1996) during her three-year run. Through the following years her appearances in a series of forgettable flicks. In 1999, she got a role as the lead in the mini-series uremberg alongside Alec Baldwin. Autumn in New York followed with Exit Wounds. In 2001, she landed the lead role in the NBC-TV crime series Crossing Jordan and in 2007 she received a Gracie Allen award as "Outstanding Female lead in a Drama Series" for her work in the series. The actress got married to another actor Paolo Mastropietro in 2000. The couple has two kids together. In 2007, she earned a place to be on the Canada's Walk of Fame.
