Alanis Morissette

Alanis Morissette is a Canadian, was born June 1 1974 in Ottawa. Alanis' Greek name is a feminine version of her father's last name, Alan. Her mother's name is Georgia and there are two brothers named Chad and Wade (Alanis' Twin). When she was just 6 She learned to play the piano. And then, when she turned 21 her first guitar lesson, she was a musician. Alanis made a hit single in 1986, titled Fate Stay With Me (b-side : Find The Right Man). In her Canadian career as a dance-pop performer who recorded two albums: Alanis (1991), and The Time Is The Time (1992). Her move to Toronto in the year 18 and started working with musicians and writers, but these partnerships didn't pan out. Then, in 1994, she found the right partner: the producer and songwriter Glen Ballard, who had previously worked with a variety of performers, including Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson and Barbra Streisand. She moved to LA at the age of 19. The Madonna's Maverick Records released the song "Jagged Little Pill" the 13th of June in 1995. Alanis found a way of recording songs that were completely personal to her and based on her own life experiences. JLP was sold to around 30 million copies worldwide and is the most-sold female-oriented album. This is also the 3rd most talked about album to date.
